"Just Another Lazy Day… Or So I Thought!"
: lazy day, relaxing, writer life, coffee vibes, dramatic blog, shady tea, messy truth, funny morning rant, just vibes
Let me paint the picture: it's a Tuesday (but don’t quote me, I’ve stopped checking the calendar). I rolled out of bed around 10:47 AM. Not out of laziness, but because the dream I was having involved me slapping someone with a Kindle, and I felt like that was a sign to get up and write.
Coffee? Brewed. Strong. No sugar, because I like my coffee like my shade—bold and a little bitter.
So here I am, sitting in my robe that has seen better days (don’t judge me), staring at my laptop like it just cursed me out. I opened this blog thinking, “Let’s give the people something dramatic,” but what do I do instead? I sip my coffee like I’m on The Real Housewives of ‘Don’t Bother Me Today’ and scroll through social media judging people in silence.
I saw someone post, “Rise and grind!” Ma’am, I rose and glided to my kitchen. That counts.
It’s one of those slow, deliciously messy days where writing is optional, gossip is essential, and productivity is on the same milk carton as my gym membership. I told myself I’d finish editing my new eBook today—but instead, I’m scrolling through memes, texting shady comments to my best friend, and wondering if I should start a fight in my group chat just for laughs.
And let’s not talk about the neighbors. Sis across the hall has had three mystery men stop by since 9 AM. I ain’t mad… but I am intrigued. I said I wouldn’t be messy today, but God knows my heart and my hallway ears.
Anyway, if you're reading this, just know you’re not alone. Sometimes you just need a day to chill, write nonsense, drink that coffee like it’s your therapist, and give side-eye to everyone who dared to be productive before noon.
Because today? Today was just another lazy day…
But baby, the tea still got spilled.
Question for You:
What do your lazy days look like? Do you stay in your robe or at least try to make it to the couch looking cute?
