“Friday Files: My $30 Pizza, Broken Temple, and White Lotus Therapy”
Just another Friday? Not quite. From tech trouble and pizza regrets to The White Lotus escape I didn’t know I needed—this blog post is full of shade, drama, and deliciously petty vibe
It’s Friday. And no, nothing groundbreaking happened. No surprise money in my account. No steamy text from a long-lost crush. Just another week of me versus the universe… and the universe is still winning.
Let’s start with the temple—by temple, I mean my email, my ebooks, and my blog post drafts. Nothing was working right. My email froze like it was stuck in 2004 dial-up hell, my ebooks wouldn’t upload, and don’t even get me started on trying to schedule blog posts. It’s like Mercury retrograde showed up fashionably late and brought a broke laptop as its plus-one.
So I gave up. I did what any stressed-out digital hustler would do—I ordered pizza. Not just one, but two medium pizzas and a box of brownies. Yes, it was $30. Don’t ask. The receipt made me flinch. The price was giving “bougie budget betrayal.” And let’s be clear: it wasn’t gourmet, it wasn’t artisan—it was basic. Cheesy, greasy, and now I’m paying for it... literally and physically. My stomach been side-eyeing me all day like, “Really? That’s what we’re doing now?”
As I sat in my carb coma, I finally pressed play on The White Lotus. Whew, baby. Rich people drama? Passive-aggressive glances? Mysterious shade with a side of scandal? YES PLEASE. I needed that escape. It was the one thing that didn’t glitch or guilt-trip me this week. And honestly, I see why people binge it—every episode felt like brunch with rich frenemies who secretly hate each other. Delicious.
So yeah. It’s Friday. Nothing big happened. But somehow, between my busted tech, my bougie pizza bill, and watching spoiled tourists spiral in paradise… I made it.
Lesson of the week?
The temple might be broken, the brownies overpriced, but I’m still here. Shady, full, and semi-satisfied.
Question for you:
What did you spend too much money on this week that made you roll your eyes after?
