: Next Gen NYC Ep 1 & 2 Recap: Baby Brunch, Big Attitudes & Bravolebrity Drama in Training
Welcome to the baby Bravo bootcamp, where legacy meets chaos…
Episodes 1 and 2 of Next Gen NYC gave us fresh faces, famous last names, and a preview of the messy millennial energy brewing in the Big Apple. From the jump, Gia Giudice walked in like she owned the lease on Bravo. Confident? Yes. Humble? Not in this zip code. She quickly made her presence known, claiming she had no problem with a castmate—then doing a full 180 in Episode 2, acting like Riley was being “mean.” Ma’am… pick a mood.
Riley Burruss, daughter of Kandi, kept it calm, cool, and calculated. She didn’t say much, but when she did, it landed. She’s giving soft-spoken slay with a side of “I said what I said.” Honestly, we needed more Riley in these convos because the group lacked real direction. It’s like everyone came to brunch, but forgot to bring their storyline.
Then there’s Charlie, who tried to float above the drama but ended up looking like he was dodging accountability. Not telling his dad what happened? That silence spoke volumes. We get wanting to be chill, but don’t act brand new when the heat turns up.
Overall, the vibes are messy, the shade is immature, and the brunch table has potential—but these kids need structure, a group chat, and maybe a media coach.
Let’s hope Episode 3 gives us less confusion and more clarity. Because right now, it’s giving Real Housewives: High School Reunion energy.
