All the Queen’s Men Season 5, Episode 10 Review: Another Boring Episode! Where Is the Drama, the Action, and the Entertainment?
By The Reality Rundown
Chile, what in the Tyler Perry is going on with All the Queen’s Men? Because Season 5, Episode 10 had me wondering whether I was watching a television drama or sitting at the CTA bus stop waiting on a bus that wasn't coming!
Now, I have been watching All the Queen’s Men, and I keep giving this show another chance. But Episode 10? Lord have mercy! Somebody needs to wake up the writers because this season is starting to feel like everybody showed up to work, collected a paycheck, and forgot they were supposed to entertain us.
And before anybody gets upset, understand something: I am reviewing the episode as a viewer, and my biggest complaint is that the entertainment just isn't delivering.
Episode 10: Where Was the Excitement?
Let me ask a serious question.
What exactly are we supposed to be excited about?
When I sit down to watch All the Queen’s Men, I want drama, suspense, betrayal, secrets, shocking moments, and somebody getting caught doing something they had no business doing!
I don't need everybody fighting every five minutes, but I do need a storyline that makes me want to keep watching.
Episode 10 just didn't give me that excitement.
It felt like the show was moving in slow motion.
You know how you get on the CTA bus, and the driver stops at every single corner, even when nobody is getting on or off?
That's how this episode felt.
MOVE THE STORY ALONG!
We have places to go, people to see, and other television shows waiting in our streaming queue!
The Drama Is Not Dramatic Enough!
One thing that originally made All the Queen’s Men entertaining was the combination of power, money, relationships, betrayal, and dangerous decisions.
That is what made the series interesting.
But now?
Sometimes it feels like we're getting a whole lot of talking without enough payoff.
Everybody can look serious. Everybody can stare across the room. Everybody can act like they have a big secret.
But eventually, SOMEBODY HAS TO DO SOMETHING!
You cannot build an entire episode around anticipation and then leave viewers wondering why they bothered watching.
I'm not asking for explosions, car chases, and somebody falling off a building every week.
I'm asking for good storytelling!
Give us a reason to care about what happens next.
Madam, We Need Some Real Boss Energy!
Now, let's talk about Madam.
Madam has always been one of the biggest reasons people watch this series.
She represents power, confidence, control, and a woman who doesn't appreciate anybody playing games with her business.
But a powerful character needs a powerful storyline.
I want to see Madam making serious moves, facing meaningful consequences, and dealing with challenges that actually raise the stakes.
Not just the same dramatic atmosphere without enough forward movement.
Madam, I need you to get this situation together!
Because right now, the audience is sitting in the club waiting for something to happen.
And the entertainment is running late!
The Men Are Looking Good, But Where Is the Story?
Let's discuss another reason people watch this show.
THE MEN!
Yes, All the Queen’s Men has always known how to give viewers some eye candy.
But looking good cannot carry an entire television series.
You can have muscles, handsome faces, beautiful outfits, and expensive-looking surroundings.
But if the storyline isn't interesting, what are we doing?
This is a television drama, not a modeling portfolio!
I want characters with real motivations, believable relationships, difficult choices, and situations that keep the audience guessing.
Give the men something interesting to do besides looking like they are waiting for their next scene.
Because handsome and boring is still boring!
Season 5 Is Starting to Test My Patience
Here is my biggest issue.
By Episode 10, a season should have established some serious momentum.
The audience should feel like the story is building toward something important.
Instead, I am finding myself questioning whether the season has enough material to justify all these episodes.
And that is not a good feeling.
A television series doesn't have to move at lightning speed.
Sometimes a slow episode is necessary to develop the characters.
But there is a difference between a slow-burning drama and an episode that simply feels slow.
A good slow-burning drama gives you tension.
A boring episode gives you time to check your phone, make a sandwich, and see whether somebody commented on your Facebook post.
And when the viewer starts paying more attention to social media than the television screen, we have a problem!
Is the Writing Getting Lazy?
I'm not saying the writers don't work hard.
Writing a television series takes time, creativity, and effort.
But as a viewer, I expect the finished product to make sense and keep me entertained.
The show needs stronger pacing, better character development, and storylines that lead somewhere.
Not every scene needs a shocking twist.
However, every scene should have a purpose.
If a conversation doesn't reveal something important, develop a relationship, or move the plot forward, why are we spending so much time on it?
We don't need five conversations explaining the same problem.
We understood the problem the first time!
This isn't a neighborhood meeting where everybody gets five minutes to repeat what the last person said.
GET TO THE POINT!
The CTA Bus Has More Action!
Now, I live in Chicago, and let me tell you something.
Sometimes riding the CTA gives you more unexpected drama than a television show.
You get on the bus, somebody is arguing on the phone, somebody else is playing music without headphones, and somebody in the back is having a full conversation with a person who isn't even there.
And somehow, everybody makes it downtown!
Meanwhile, I'm watching Episode 10, waiting for a major moment to make me sit up in my chair.
At this point, the CTA could produce a better cliffhanger.
Because when the bus driver announces a reroute, at least I know something unexpected is about to happen!
What Could Make the Show Better?
I don't think All the Queen’s Men is beyond saving.
There is still potential here.
The series has an established identity, recognizable characters, and an audience that wants to enjoy it.
But the storytelling needs some fresh energy.
I would love to see stronger conflicts, unexpected alliances, believable betrayals, and consequences that actually matter.
And please, give us some surprises!
Not confusion disguised as mystery.
Not endless conversations disguised as character development.
REAL SURPRISES!
Make me shout at the television!
Make me rewind a scene!
Make me call somebody and say, "Did you see what just happened?"
That's the kind of entertainment I want.
My Final Review: Episode 10 Was Boring!
I know some fans might disagree with me, and that's perfectly fine.
Everybody watches television differently.
Some people might appreciate the slower storytelling.
But for me, Episode 10 didn't deliver enough excitement.
I kept waiting for that moment that would change my opinion.
And when the episode was over, my biggest reaction was:
THAT'S IT?
Not "Oh my goodness!"
Not "I can't wait until next week!"
Just "Well, I guess I'll see what happens next."
And that's not exactly the reaction a drama series should be aiming for.
My Rating
4 out of 10 — The show needs more energy!
I'm giving it four points because I still believe the series has potential, and I haven't completely given up on it.
But Episode 10 did not earn a higher score from me.
If Season 5 wants to keep viewers excited, it needs to give us more than familiar faces and dramatic music.
It needs a compelling story.
Because at this rate, I might have to start watching All the Queen’s Men while folding laundry.
At least something will get accomplished!
Let's Talk About It!
Now I want to hear from everybody watching All the Queen’s Men Season 5.
- Did you enjoy Episode 10, or was it boring?
- Is Season 5 getting better or worse?
- Do you think the writers are running out of ideas?
- Are you still excited to watch the next episode?
